2010 Proto Pmr Paintball Gun. Good or No?

I was thinking in about a year getting a better paintball gun (I know kind of early to be looking but i wanna know what i should get before hand so i can just buy it instead of reseaching in a year). I was considering the 2010 Proto PMR (or if the new ones out when im in the market for a new gun). I was wondering how is it overall and is it a branch off of DYE? Because i see the little dye symbol on there

Proto has their own symbol, similar to Dye’s, i guess. But anyway…

PMR is a really good gun, comes well-equipped right out of the box, even the barrel is good. I’m not too crazy about the price, though, i think they should be cheaper. Find a used one and it’ll be half the price, at least – i wouldn’t recommend dropping the cash on a new one.

Proto used to make the true budget Dye gun, the PM (they had a PM5 thru PM8), very similar to the DM line, with just a few minor changes but a much lower price tag. Then Proto released the PMR, then the SLG. But they stopped making the PM and jacked the price up on the PMR & SLG, which i didn’t like.
